Course description:
This custom training focuses on "hands-on" skills required to
create and edit 3D parametric solid models within AutoCAD Mechanical
Desktop. Students work with their own existing 2D AutoCAD drawings, paper
sketches etc to create 3D parametric solid models driven by Excel
spreadsheets. Working with the assembled 3D part subassemblies, students
will generate a bill of materials linked to the tagged 3D parts in the
assembly.
Course objectives:
Upon completion, students are able to:
-
Create 3D models from exiting or new 2D geometry.
-
Rapidly create (from the 3D assemblies) 2D drawing
layouts and bill of materials for the parts required.
-
Change 3D parts parametrically via Excel spread
sheets.
-
Generate a bill-of-materials from the 3D part
subassemblies.
Course length: 5
